as the newspaper is a tabloid it features many images and not as much writing / text. this is to appeal to their working/middle class target audience

the target audience is working/middle class people who are left wing and support the labour party.

because it mentions stories about schools and epidemics which anyone can relate to and interest them, from any class or background. this is why the Daily Mirror is mainstream.

because it features stories on the government and national news which would concern an older reader more than a younger reader. also because younger audiences don't usually go to print newspapers for their news as they can access it for free online and at their demand. 

5) How is the 'Wills and Harry royal rift' story on the double page spread constructed to appeal to Daily Mirror readers? 

as it focusses on gossip , as it shows which is soft news that attracts the daily mirror target audience. the image of kate and harry dominates the page as their target audience is interested in seeing images which adds to the gossip element.
