Film critic and broadcaster Wiktoria: Behind closed doors, a new low budget independent British horror film that is out in the summer of 2021. I’m delighted to be joined by the director Emily, who is here to discuss her new horror movie. Emily: Thank you Wiktoria. It’s a pleasure to be here. W: Behind closed doors is described as a low budget film – what does that mean and how did you get hold of the money to make it? E: It wasn’t easy! Low budget means it’s made with a tight budget. No fancy effects and no big budgets. We made Behind Closed Doors for around £150,000 and shot the whole film in 28 days. The money mainly came from The British Film Industry and the National Lottery funding – I was very lucky to be able to access the money and make my first feature film.
